How Much Does a Custom Song Cost? Packages and What to Check

A family birthday, a retirement lunch and a wedding can all start with the same question: how much should we spend on a song? Start with what you actually need to receive. A downloadable recording, a gift voucher and streaming publication are different deliverables, even when they appear on the same price page.

This guide is published by Hosanna Song and describes our current main song offer. It is not an independent quality ranking or a survey establishing average market prices. Other services set their own prices and conditions.

How much are the Hosanna Song packages?

The English offer uses US dollars. The song packages are one-time purchases; buying a song does not itself start a subscription. Check the currency and selected extras in the final checkout, especially if your card account uses pounds, euros or Swiss francs. Your payment provider may apply currency conversion charges.

Why can another provider quote a different price?

Compare the scope before comparing the number. A quote may cover lyrics only, an audio recording, several versions, physical delivery or particular usage permissions. Ask which of those you will actually receive, and which changes remain included after approval.

For a concrete example, Songfinch's official pricing guidance, checked on October 29, 2026, says its artists set their own prices and its prices are in USD. That does not establish a single price for every commission, or an equivalent price in your local currency.

For a freelancer or studio, request a written quote for your particular brief. There is no supported universal rule that a wedding requires a premium tier, that a birthday needs only a budget tier, or that an expensive recording necessarily sounds better on a venue's speakers. Which questions make prices comparable?

Use the same questions for every offer you shortlist:

• Audio: Is a complete downloadable recording included, or only lyrics or a sample? How many versions are promised?
• Review: Can you read the lyrics or hear your own preview before paying? A sample from someone else's order is a different thing.
• Changes: What can be changed, how often, and within which period? Does changing the original brief cost extra?
• Delivery: When does the clock start? Does the quoted date cover the initial file, a revision or platform publication?
• Rights: What private sharing, public performance or commercial uses does the written license allow?
• Total: Which optional purchases, taxes or conversion costs could affect what you pay?

Save the offer and order confirmation. A low headline price with unclear deliverables is difficult to compare with a detailed quote. A high price without clear terms is no more informative.

What can you check before paying?

At Hosanna Song, you answer the quiz, read and edit the lyrics, then listen to a free 50-second preview of your own song. No card is needed to start. Check names, pronunciation, important details and the musical direction before choosing a package.

Does payment mean the complete song is ready?

Only if the full recordings are already complete. After payment is confirmed, both complete versions unlock on your private order link if they are ready. If recording or processing is still underway, they unlock when complete and we notify you by email and, where a number is provided, WhatsApp. Hearing the preview does not prove that both final versions are finished.

Streaming publication is a separate step. When included or purchased, it usually takes 3–10 days after the required information has been received. That is an estimate, not a guaranteed release date for a party. Read the delivery planning guide before ordering for a fixed event.

Does a package include ownership and a refund guarantee?

The song purchase includes the personal, non-exclusive license described in our terms. Paying for a recording or streaming distribution does not automatically transfer copyright or permit every commercial use. Check the intended use before ordering advertising, a monetized video or a public campaign.

Our 7-day rewrite-or-refund guarantee concerns the main song. Separate services, including animated video, streaming distribution and Club subscriptions or credits, have their own exclusions in the terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise. A voluntary guarantee does not replace statutory consumer rights.

Can I listen before paying?

Yes. You can read and edit the lyrics and hear a free 50-second preview of your own song before choosing a package. The preview is an excerpt; it is not free access to the complete paid recordings.

Does a higher price guarantee better sound?

No. Price alone cannot establish audio quality. Compare the actual deliverables and listen to the available preview. At Hosanna Song, the higher packages add gift and publication features rather than a different story supplied by the buyer.

Are the complete versions delivered immediately?

They unlock after confirmed payment if they are already ready. Otherwise, they become available when recording or processing finishes, with an email notification and a WhatsApp notification where a number is provided. Do not rely on payment alone as proof that a song is ready for an event.

Is streaming included in every package?

No. Publication of the main song is included in Gift on Spotify at $99. It usually takes 3–10 days after the required information is received. Check any separately purchased distribution offer before paying.

Is the whole order covered by the song guarantee?

The 7-day rewrite-or-refund guarantee applies to the main song. Separate services have exclusions described in the terms, subject to applicable law. Check the guarantee, the revision terms and the usage license as separate parts of the offer.
